Class #1
Learn How to Sketch Nature with Watercolors -FREE

Do you want to become closer to nature and save all of your memories by keeping a sketchbook, but thought you never could? Are you a person who thinks they will never be able to draw or paint?
You can do it, someone just needs to show you how. Bring a sketchbook and paints and I will show you how to convert a complicated landscape into a simple sketch.

Date: Every last Saturday of the month unless specified.
Next one: May 26, 2012

Time: 9am-12pm

The Little Red Schoolhouse Nature Center (meet in front of the schoolhouse), 9800 Willow Springs Road Willow Springs, IL 60480   (708) 839-6897.

Fee: FREE  (will accept donations for my art supplies)

Ages: 13 and up.

Level: Beginners and up.

  • Supply List: Every student must bring their own supplies.

    Sketcher’s Pocket Box Set
     (watercolor travel paints) ***Very good***

      • sketchbook specifically for watercolors or watercolor paper
      • bottle of water
      • empty water bottle, cut the bottle in half and save bottom for water well
      • palette, if your travel watercolor does not come with one
      • pencil
      • paper towel
      • brushes (multiple sizes)
      • micron pens (optional)
      • carrying chair (optional) if you cannot stand for a long period of time

Class #2  Individual Lessons 1 on 1
Learn How to Paint Step-by-Step (pastels or watercolors)

Date: Email me to schedule

Time: 9am – 1pm

Place: To be determined

Fee: $50

Ages: 13 and up

Level: Beginner and up

Supply List: Every student must bring their own supplies.

For a pastel class:

      • Ampersand Pastelbord 11×14 (Hobby Lobby has gray ones on shelf)
      • pastels (landscape colors)
      • turpentine and brush
      • small glass cup for turpentine
      • paper towel
      • charcoal pencil of vine stick

For a watercolor class:

      • watercolor paper 11×14 or smaller
      • 12×18 or smaller piece of foam board to mount watercolor paper
      • artist tape
      • brushes (multiple sizes)
      • watercolor paints
      • pallet
      • paper towel
      • pencil
      • micron pen (optional)
      • brush well for water
