***Thank you to an astute viewer who brought this to my attention!
Yes, they want me to pay $399.99 to be able to link my photos from their site to mine. Well, that’s not going to happen!
This affects all free step by step demos done from June 2008 – October 2010. In November of 2010 I switched from Photobucket.com to Flickr.com. (Thank goodness). Demos done after November 2010 are not affected.
I will have to (over a long period of time) download those photos (700+) and replace them by hand to restore them.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Christine
That stinks! Sorry, but that just doesn’t seem right.
Thanks, yeah doesn’t seem right…..funny, why would they supply you a link if they didn’t want you to use it?!?
There is a law for Hijackers — they go to jail! That’s awful and I wonder if you have recourse? I feel so sad for you.

I like that law….he he he. Well, my recourse it to physically download all of those photos and replace them…that’s a long term project I will be working on. Thanks for your concern.
Bummer!
Yep! Must keep all originals backed up on a drive. My mistake! Lesson learned. Thanks, Gene.
And thank you for your attention … and intentions
That’s terrible! All you ever wanted to do was bring joy to so many of us thru your artwork and thoughts. Grrrrr. Photobucket stinks!
Thanks Jane. Yes, they are poopy heads. lol. It does show the mentality of corporations in this money hungry times we are living in.
Thank you for your reply. What’s happened is very annoying and I’ve experienced the same with another website where I had saved hundreds of my son’s childhood photos with their album organizer. Naturally I didn’t choose to pay. These companies don’t seem to understand such upsetting unfair policy wouldn’t work with most people.
Thanks Zee! Yeah it’s so heartbreaking. Funny….they never had a problem for 9 years, now all of a sudden? And you’re correct, their policy is going to backfire with people in a grand way.
I thought I might have some of your 08-10 postings, but looks like the earliest I have are 2011. Darn.
Thank you for offering! I can physically download the original photos on Photobucket and re-upload them through WordPress, however because they blacked-out the photo, I’m not sure which photo goes where, except for the step by steps (I can kind of figure that out by memory). It will just take a long time to do this which I am willing to do. Silly me didn’t have original back ups saved!!
Those bastards!! They should be arrested for stealing…how can they get away with this?
Lol. Very frustrating! I will have to re-download the photos and get them off their site and re-upload them through WordPress. It shows that their intent was to do this from the beginning, because otherwise they wouldn’t offer a link with your photo! Thanks for your kind words.
