It would say…
“Snuck up on ya, didn’t I? I’m not all gray and dreary, look, I still have a few punches of pizazz. Yes, fewer reds and golds but the ones you’ll find you’ll treasure.
And the crow’s caw? Didn’t you notice? It’s much clearer. It echoes through the trees whose leaves I took away. You’re welcome.”
In my imaginary world, this is what November is trying to say. Some people dread it. It means the leaves are disappearing. It means cold weather is arriving in the northern hemisphere. It means months of winter ready to descend. But I see its charm. I see the peace it brings. It nudges me to slow down and be in the moment, stop worrying about what’s to come ahead, and love right now.

I miss painting and posting. I’m working full-time as a 1st grade ESL teacher and I’m working on my master’s in my spare time. Secret…there is no spare time! LOL. Needless to say, I’ve dropped painting by the wayside, until today! I literally sat by my window and sketched the color I saw in front of me. Here is my gear: a watercolor sketchbook and a field kit that sits on my leg. Unseen gear: classical music playing in the background (Coffee and Contemplation from Apple Music classical app), pachouli incense burning in the background, and a purring kitty nearby.
Don’t lose your passion even if you’re busy! Take time to feed your soul.
