a winter walk in January – watercolor

An old nest, clouds that sail, colors in the water, and that trickle song embody this wonderous winter walk. Cabin fever has no hold on me when I’m out here.

Can you hear it?

Little treasures I find like this fungus-covered branch. It’s fun to feel the jelly-like texture.

Winter has a certain solemn quietness about it. The type I crave.

And finally, here is the photo I painted from…

Don’t let winter keep you down. Find beauty in the season before it’s too late.

We have not had snow as of yet this winter. Since moving to Kentucky, I really miss it. I’m jealous of my northern friends who already have inches upon inches. Send some my way!
