Those evergreens! My friends during dreary days.
I have not seen the sun in a long time and to be honest I like cloudy days, but when the clouds linger for weeks at a time, a little green makes winter brighter.
Sitting in a warm home painting from the window is especially easy in cold weather. I bring my travel watercolor kit wherever I go for a quick sketch.
I do not have many evergreens at home so before Christmas I purchased two dwarf Alberta spruce trees to decorate my front door. In the spring I’ll pick a nice spot to make them permanent.
