The LaGrange Art League of LaGrange, IL will celebrate 75 years of existence in the month of February. What an accomplishment! That’s a long time of dedication, sweat, and many hours of volunteer work. I am very honored to be a part of their history.
I went to the gallery today to submit my paintings and Holy Cow…I think every artist came out of the woodwork to turn in artwork! I have never seen so many beautiful pieces ready to be hung before. How wonderful! This show will knock your socks off!
These are the paintings I have submitted:
Misty Maine, 20×16, Pastel
and
Study of the Cooper’s Hawk, 14×20, Mixed Media (Pastel, Watercolor, Ink, Graphite)
My paintings will be on display from February 2nd – March 27, 2009. Many other artist’s paintings will only be on display for the month of February, so locals…..please come to see the incredible talent of your local Chicago area artists!

Love the Coopershawk painting!
How fortunate for you! I hope you sell both of them. 🙂 It’s hard to get into gallery shows down here, particularly if you don’t paint Louisiana. Kind of bums me out sometimes, but you have to roll with the punches!
I love both the paintings you submitted! Congratulations!!
Monarch: Thanks! I had soooo much fun doing that one…I decided to do a series of “study of” paintings. I can’t wait to see how that will materialize!
Lana: I wish you much luck for future gallery entries. Keep at it…your doors will open if persistent! You can change the rules 🙂
Shelley: Thanks so much, your support means a lot!
