Spring 2014
A struggle to wiggle free from winter’s grasp
As any warm day is promptly choked
And spring relents, refusing to quarrel
Aloof in reverie…
Are not the wildflowers underground awaiting?
Awake spring for good! Gather your strength.
Attack with your might.
Alleviate our distress!
Saturday was a beautiful warm day. The first really warm day this year. Even though most of it was under a thick gray sky, I took it with joy. The next day however, while we were promised mid 60’s, it quickly plummeted to the 40’s, accompanied by gusty winds and crabby attitudes. And just this morning I hear a little snow on its way…
Why is this spring struggling so hard to get here and stay???
Hi! I’m always happy to receive one of your nature sketches! They make me smile….Char
Thank you Char! Your comment made me smile 😉
Have an awesome day.
I love your sketchbook drawings more than a lot of other people’s finished paintings– truth! : )
You’re so kind! Thanks Mark 🙂
