In the country where corn is cut
snow settles in stripes
equally measured

In the country where snow falls
not a sound is made
the flakes they scatter
Measured and scattered
When I moved to southern Kentucky from the Chicago area, I was afraid I would miss snow. I grew up with white winters and a magical frosty playground, especially in the woods. I was told that it does snow in southern Kentucky, but barely if at all. Winters here are mild.
To my pure excitement, we had a very white Christmas. Thank You, God.
The first sketch was done with watercolor paints and the second sketch was done with Derwent Graphitint watercolor pencils. With both sketches, I used a white gel pen to make the snowfall after they were completely dry.
Never stop creating. Paint/draw what you love.
